Native Tucsonan Leila Lopez has been playing music for over 20 years. Her earliest memories include making up songs on the piano when she was just tall enough to reach the keys, and eventually branching out to learn a wide variety of different instruments. She first gained local attention after a friend dropped off her earliest recordings to a Tucson based newspaper, and there began her journey as a performer in cafes, bars and other venues in and around the Tucson area, slowly gathering recognition in the greater music community.
Leila writes and records her own songs, and often plays most of the instruments on her albums in a modest home studio in Tucson Arizona. Her music is influenced by everything from old Classic Rock, to Folk, Jazz, and of course the common ground we all walk together and apart, trying to put the pieces in place.
